Job Description

As a result of the combination of the BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), by applyingtothis role, you will be applying for a position with Waters.

Main Taks & Responsibilities

In this role, you enhance customer satisfaction, drive problem resolution, and ensure long‑term system stability. Your specific responsibilities include:

  • Performing installations, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on‑site at customer locations, primarily within your assigned region
  • Prioritizing, planning, and executing your activities according to our processes and established customer service level agreements
  • Maintaining your personal tool and spare parts inventory at an appropriate level for successful task execution
  • Managing escalations and resolving complex technical issues reported by the Customer Service Desk, customers, and local service organizations
  • Conducting basic technical training sessions for customers
  • Performing instrument failure analyses, screenings, and follow‑up activities to continuously improve system reliability
  • Documenting and maintaining all relevant data in BD service management systems to ensure optimal data accuracy and high‑quality customer reporting

Requirements (Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Competencies)

  • You have completed a technical degree or equivalent qualification in a technical field (e.g., vocational training in medical technology, electronics, mechatronics, etc.) or experience with high‑tech devices.
  • You possess strong knowledge in computers, networking, electronics, precision mechanics, and automation; additional knowledge in molecular technology is an advantage.
  • You have a quick grasp of complex topics and easily familiarize yourself with technically challenging subjects, working independently and purposefully.
  • You have business‑fluent French and fluent English skills. German language is an advantage.
  • Located within Romandy area or willingness to relocate
  • You hold a valid European driver’s license.
  • You are willing to travel extensively (>80%) within your assigned territory - including regular overnight stays - and are comfortable with occasional travel within Europe.
