Our Commercial span sites in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur. Kulim, Kedah is the home of our manufacturing plant and Penang is our Contract Manufacturing site. Together with our Greater Asia Shared Service Center located in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur, we are making a difference everyday.

Our sites
Kulim, Kedah – Manufacturing Plant
BD Kulim is the home of our Manufacturing plant established in 1987 and formerly known as Bard Sdn Bhd . It is located at northern state of Malaysia in Kulim, Kedah.
After almost 30 years with C.R. Bard Inc and the acquisition by BD in December 2017, we are now known as BD Kulim. Kulim is built on 7-acre site and 160,000 square feet featuring manufacturing, warehouse and administration space. BD Kulim manufactured around 30 product families and 1,850 product codes.
Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur – Commercial Site
Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur is home for our commercial operations. Located nearly at the heart of the city, this is somewhere you can build a reputation and solidify your career in our commercial business.
BD Malaysia is principally engaged in the provision of sales and marketing support services for medical supplies, devices, laboratory equipment, diagnostic products, and biosciences products that are used by healthcare institutions, life science researchers, clinical laboratories, industry, and the general public. BD Malaysia provides routine sales and marketing support services.
BD Malaysia is also engaged in the provision of manufacturing support services.
Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur – Greater Asia Shared Service Center
Bangsar South is the hub of our Greater Asia Shared Service Center. One of the 4 service centers set up globally to support the business functions of BD. Following the acquisition of CareFusion in 2015, we have transitioned and integrated from an Information Technology support center to a Shared Service Center. Located strategically in Bangsar South where most of the Shared Service Centers are, it is easily accessible by trains and buses. Here, we support you in whichever diverse role you play within our business, helping to build your skills and career opportunities.
Penang, Malaysia – Contract Manufacturing Site
BD Penang office is located at Hotel Equatorial on Penang Island, Malaysia. BD Penang operation was a spin off from Avago in year 2007, formerly known as Alverix (M) Sdn. Bhd., the BD Corporation subsequently acquired Alverix Corporation in early 2014 which is now known as BD Penang.
Penang operations successfully launched BD Veritor for influenza A & B diagnostic, a Point-of- Care (POC) hand-held device and have since iterated to the latest version of the product under the name of BD Veritor Plus. Primary target market for this product is USA and Japan.
BD Penang team also possesses capabilities such as product failure analysis for customer complaints and tester targets development.BD Penang team is committed to delivering and developing high quality and cost competitive POC products, through our talented engineering resources and many years of experience managing contract manufacturers in the Asia region.

One of the most rewarding experiences I've had was participating in Kaizen events—collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. These opportunities have sharpened my problem-solving skills and reinforced my belief that even the smallest ideas can spark meaningful change. Additionally, I had the privilege of leading the Give to Life committee at the BD Kulim Plant—a charitable initiative dedicated to supporting our associates. This role has been deeply personal and transformative, nurturing in me a stronger sense of compassion, responsibility, and humanity.
