Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Champion: Become an integral team member on sustaining engineering projects, ensuring site requirements are seamlessly woven into project scope, risk assessments, and implementation strategies.
  • Communication Catalyst: Serve as the vital bridge between platform project teams and manufacturing sites, translating complex execution needs, risks, and constraints into actionable insights.
  • Strategic Resource Advisor: Provide crucial site-level intelligence on capacity, timing, and resource availability to power project sequencing and prioritization decisions.
  • Execution Maestro: Orchestrate site activities including validations, process studies, engineering work orders, material trials, and production line scheduling.
  • Risk Navigator: Proactively monitor site readiness and execution risks, bringing up potential impacts to leadership to enable swift, effective mitigation strategies.
  • Change Implementation Specialist: Drive successful implementation of critical sustaining changes across materials, packaging, processes, compliance initiatives, and business continuity projects.
  • Documentation Guardian: Ensure meticulous completion of all required documentation and change control activities, including validation documentation, training coordination, and implementation closeout.
  • Portfolio Manager: Take ownership of the complete Sustaining projects portfolio for sites within your scope, driving efficiency and excellence.

  • Exceptional communication and coordination skills with the proven ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Background in business analysis, product management, or negotiation/mediation that enables you to navigate complex situations.
  • Valuable exposure to cost-out strategies, supply continuity planning, compliance initiatives, or end-of-life product management.

  • Sustaining projects flow efficiently through the pipeline thanks to your masterful coordination between sites and platform teams.
  • Site sustaining needs receive the attention they deserve through your clear communication and effective prioritization at the platform level.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Project Management, Communications, or a related field. 

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, sustaining engineering, process engineering, or product lifecycle support within a regulated industry. 

  • Experience supporting cross‑functional project teams with site execution responsibilities. 

  • Experience operating in a quality‑ and regulatory‑controlled environment. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical devices or another highly regulated manufacturing environment. 

  • Experience coordinating site trials or execution across multiple manufacturing lines or sites. 

  • Familiarity with SAP manufacturing and document control systems. 

  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar project or operations certifications.
