About Us
BD officially established its representative office in China in 1994. Shanghai is the headquarters of BD China and in addition, there are regional offices in different cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou and Chengdu. BD China with over 3,000 associates are committed to building a high-quality localized multinational company, with three manufacturing plants successively built in Suzhou and Yixing . In 2023, BD Greater China Innovation and Technology center has been successfully completed. It has also established the BD Greater China R&D Center, as well as BD China Customer Service Center and Customer Experience Center serving more patients and healthcare workers in China, while helping advance the development of medical science.

BD Greater China R&D Center
Adhering to the guideline of "In China, for China", BD China has developed a dual-center R&D strategy that situates the Innovation Design Center and Multifunctional Lab in Shanghai, and the Lab Engineering Center in Suzhou. Through detecting local customers' needs and discovering innovative opportunities, BD Greater China R&D Center develops customised products for Chinese customers and upgrades existing products. It also supports local registration and accelerates launch of new products, so as to support local customers and business teams.

- Built in 1995 covering 40,000m2 area
- 7,000m2 Class 100,000 clean rooms
- Four Intima II™ automatic production lines, the first Pegasus™ automatic production line of BD

Suzhou Plant II
- Built in 2005, covering 43,800m2 area
- China 40 reagent went into local production
- Honored as Advanced Company in Precursor Chemical Management by Suzhou Industrial Park
Yixing Plant
- Established in 2024 in Yixing, Wuxi City, Jiangsu province with 188 million USD investment in total; covering 32,407m2 area
- Owning world’s advanced production equipment, 8 automatic production lines will come into use for production
- Awarded the Advanced Company by government and Top 10 Companies with Industrial Stamina

We are extremely proud to announce that BD China was awarded Top Employer 2018-2025 eight years in a row, and Aon 2017 Best Employers of China.
