Reporting to the Senior Director of Facilities, this role plays a critical part in shaping and executing the company’s regional facilities strategy, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.

This individual will oversee a diverse portfolio—including office, laboratory, manufacturing, R&D, and warehouse environments—while driving workplace transformation initiatives, capital projects, and service delivery optimization. Success in this role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead facilities operations and maintenance programs across a ~1M sq. ft. regional portfolio, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and high service standards

  • Manage both in-house and outsourced facilities teams, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture

  • Drive execution of regional and global facilities initiatives, ensuring consistency in standards, processes, and delivery

  • Develop and manage annual operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets, including multi-year strategic planning and project roadmaps

  • Oversee landlord and lease relationships, ensuring compliance with lease terms and optimal property performance

  • Partner with cross-functional and global peers to align on best practices and enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and standards

  • Act as a strategic partner to regional business leaders, proactively identifying opportunities to support growth, efficiency, and innovation

  • Lead and deliver capital projects, including renovations, workplace transformations, and construction fit-outs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget

  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and manage execution from concept through completion

  • Manage documentation, scheduling, and reporting related to facilities operations and ensure GxP compliance

  • Advance sustainability initiatives by planning and implementing energy efficiency and environmental programs

  • Collaborate closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to maintain safe, compliant, and healthy work environments

  • Partner with Global Procurement to optimize vendor performance and control spend across the facilities portfolio

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate facilities management within complex, multi-site environments

  • 5+ years supervisory experience of facilities management staff supporting site operations

  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and infrastructure

  • Proven experience managing both internal teams and third-party service providers

  • Experience operating within GxP-regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or similar) strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

  • Advanced project management expertise, including large-scale capital and construction projects

  • Experience managing complex operational and commercial challenges across diverse environments

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and time zones
