Job Description
General Description :
The Plant Manager in Reynosa, Mexico, is responsible for supporting the plant's operations by defining strategies and goals and developing actionable plans to achieve them; oversee daily activities across various departments, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, Quality, Engineering, Operations Excellence, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), Finance, and Human Resources. Manage all operations with high ethical standards and code of conduct.
Functions and Responsibilities:
Regularly reviews the quality system to ensure its suitability and effectiveness, conducts review meetings to strategize, set objectives, establish plans, review the progress of current operations, and plan for future business activities. Leads the daily execution of the manufacturing sites to meet all stakeholder expectations for quality, order fulfillment, total cost management, and budget management. Develops all elements of the financial plan for the operations department and effectively meeting the plan. Align operational objectives and drive results with key stakeholders in Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Finance, Planning, and Supply Chain. Drives improvement in operational effectiveness and efficiency and the implementation of lean manufacturing processes & continuous improvement programs. Oversee transfer process, discuss, establish, and agree on the product transfer, along with the associated authorities and responsibilities in the contractual business relationship, to ensure a successful design transfer process. Ensures that the manufacturing facility operates in compliance with all local, state, federal (PROFEPA, SEMANART, STPS, etc.) and international regulations (FDA, ISO, etc.) and ordinances including applicable company policies and procedures. Develops broad influence through a robust set of internal/external relationships across the organization; promotes win-win outcomes within, among and across teams, using the diverse perspectives of others to achieve results. Inspires others to meet/exceed expectations daily through own enthusiasm and energy. Identifies and initiates efforts to achieve objectives, teaching others to accept accountability for meeting and stretching to exceed results in a timely and cost-effective manner. Applies expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives. Manages resources to ensure financial objectives are met, leveraging knowledge of competitive advantage and profit drivers Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or related field. +7 years of experience in manufacturing and leading managerial positions.
Knowledge and Skills:
1- Experience with ERP transactions that impact directly Annex 24 (familiarity with JDE a plus).
2- Possess a solid understanding of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
3- Be well-versed in safety, quality, productivity, demand generation, inventory management, and stewardship processes.
4- Sefl-driven, motivated, responsive, proactive, data oriented. 5-Knowledge in GMP/FDA Regulations preferred.
6- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization, bilingual English and Spanish.
