Job Description

The BilingualDeployment Specialist I  (French and English) installs select Medication Management Solution products ensuring successful solution deployment and customer success through demonstration of clinical and technical proficiency and The BD WAY: who we are, what we stand for, and the focus on excellence and accountability that we're all expected to demonstrate every day, no matter what our role is at the company. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with cross-functional project teams which include multiple disciplines from within Solution Deployment and customer teams. This role will work independently to lead projects of all complexity, size and scope. Projects typically range in scope from installing a single product or multi-product expansions in customer facilities.  

The Deployment Specialist I may be called to represent Solution Deployment during continuous improvement and new product/solution readiness to provide input and assess impact and change to the implementation organization. 

This field-based position must be located in Ontario, Quebec or New Brunswick.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete deployment specialist training plans and demonstrate competency for the installation and support for BD Solution hardware and software 
  • Install specified equipment at customer sites, including tasks such as: Build-set up hardware/software, Training customer stakeholders on our solutions, and Go Live activities 
  • Adherence to BD Medication Solutions product implementation methodologies and tools. 
  • Provide problem solving, troubleshooting and system consultation as needed for client 
  • Manage project escalations for favorable outcomes. 
  • Timely completion of internal company and project documentation. 
  • Execute additional tasks assigned. 

Education and Experience required: 

  • Must have good understanding and demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote). 
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, including the ability to communicate effectively, manage interpersonal relationships, and adapt to internal stakeholders, and customer-facing environments. 
  • Be flexible and adaptable, manage ambiguity and demonstrate resilience 
  • Ability to work well in a team setting 
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner 
  • Be a dependable contributor with focus on project timelines 
  • Basic knowledge of network communication and connectivity concepts. 
  • Ability to follow technical steps for device configuration 
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment with hands‑on technical involvement and exposure to computerized system applications. 
  • Experience with dispensing software technologies is a plus. 
  • Exposure to clinical software applications, including BD Medication Solutions Dispensing products. 
  • Project Management experience supporting small to medium projects. 
  • Experience/knowledge of EMR related systems, HIS (Hospital Information Systems) and PIS (Pharmacy Information Systems), with an understanding of pharmacy and nursing workflows preferred. 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. 
  • This position involves pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and lifting above head. 
  • Vendor Credentialing:    Depending on your role at BD, you may be required to undergo further background checks and/or provide vaccination information and/or undergo tuberculosis screening to ensure compliance with certain of our customers’ vendor credentialing programs.  You acknowledge that compliance with vendor credentialing may be an essential requirement of your employment with BD and of your ability to attend at certain customer sites. 
  • Home based position with daily travel to local customers as well as regional overnight travel. The ideal candidate will reside close to a major airport. The position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends. 
  • Ability to travel 80% or up to 100%, as required by business needs.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years, as well as meet BD's auto safety standards.

Le Spécialiste bilingue du déploiement I(français et anglais) installe certaines solutions de gestion des médicaments en s’assurant de la réussite du déploiement et de la satisfaction du client en faisant preuve de compétences cliniques et techniques, ainsi qu’en incarnant The BD WAY, c’est-à-dire ce que nous sommes, ce que nous défendons et l’accent mis sur l’excellence et la responsabilité dont nous sommes tous tenus de faire preuve au quotidien, quel que soit notre rôle au sein de l’entreprise. Le candidat retenu sera capable d'établir des relations de travail collaboratives avec des équipes de projet interfonctionnelles regroupant plusieurs disciplines issues des équipes de déploiement de solutions et des équipes clients. Ce poste implique de travailler de manière autonome pour piloter des projets de diverses complexités, tailles et envergures. Les projets vont généralement de l'installation d'un seul produit jusqu’à l’expansion de plusieurs produits dans les locaux des clients. 

Le spécialiste du déploiement I peut être amené à représenter l’équipe de déploiement de solutions lors des processus d’amélioration continue et de préparation de nouveaux produits ou de nouvelles solutions, afin d’apporter son expertise et d’évaluer l’incidence et les changements pour l’organisation chargée de la mise en œuvre. 

Ce poste sur le terrain doit être basé en Ontario, au Québec ou au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Responsabilités du poste :

  • Suivre les programmes de formation de spécialiste du déploiement et démontrer ses compétences en matière d'installation et d'assistance pour le matériel et les logiciels des solutions de BD. 
  • Installer l’équipement voulu dans les locaux des clients, notamment : configuration du matériel et des logiciels, formation des intervenants du client à nos solutions et activités de mise en service. 
  • Respecter les méthodologies et les outils de mise en œuvre des solutions pour les médicaments de BD. 
  • Fournir des services de résolution de problèmes, de dépannage et de conseil en matière de systèmes selon les besoins du client. 
  • Gérer les escalades de projet afin d'obtenir des résultats favorables. 
  • Remplir en temps voulu la documentation interne de l'entreprise et celle relative aux projets. 
  • Effectuer diverses tâches supplémentaires qui sont attribuées. 

Formation et expérience :

  • Diplôme d'études collégiales, DEP, AEC ou DEC, en génie mécanique, en mécanique industrielle, en automatisation ou dans un autre domaine technique. 
  • Au moins deux années d'expérience pertinente à un poste semblable, notamment dans l'installation ou la mise en œuvre de matériel et de logiciels d'automatisation. Une expérience en tant que technicien ou assistant en pharmacie peut être prise en considération. 

Connaissances et compétences :

  • Maîtrise avérée des applications Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook et OneNote). 
  • Intelligence émotionnelle avérée, notamment la capacité à communiquer efficacement, à gérer les relations interpersonnelles et à s'adapter aux intervenants internes ainsi qu'aux milieux en contact avec la clientèle. 
  • Faire preuve de souplesse et d'adaptabilité, gérer l'ambiguïté et faire preuve de résilience. 
  • Capacité à bien travailler en équipe. 
  • Communiquer efficacement et en temps opportun. 
  • Être un collaborateur fiable, soucieux du respect des échéances des projets. 
  • Connaissances de base en matière de communication réseau et de connectivité. 
  • Capacité à suivre les étapes techniques pour la configuration des appareils. 
  • Résoudre les problèmes techniques de base. 

Compétences souhaitées :

  • Baccalauréat, un atout. 
  • Expérience professionnelle dans le secteur de la santé avec une implication technique concrète et une bonne connaissance des applications informatiques. 
  • Expérience des technologies logicielles de distribution de médicaments, un atout. 
  • Connaissance des applications logicielles cliniques, y compris les solutions de distribution des médicaments de BD. 
  • Expérience en gestion de projets de petite à moyenne envergure. 
  • Expérience/connaissance des systèmes liés aux dossiers médicaux électroniques, des systèmes d'information hospitaliers et des systèmes d'information pharmaceutiques et compréhension des processus de travail en pharmacie et en soins infirmiers, un atout. 

Exigences physiques et Environnement de travail :

  • Capacité à soulever au moins 18 kg (40 lb). 
  • Ce poste implique de pousser, de tirer, de se baisser, de se pencher et de soulever des charges au-dessus de sa tête. 
  • Accréditation des fournisseurs : En fonction de votre poste chez BD, vous pourriez être amené à vous soumettre à des vérifications d'antécédents supplémentaires, à fournir des renseignements sur la vaccination ou à subir un dépistage de la tuberculose afin d’assurer la conformité avec certains programmes d'accréditation des fournisseurs de nos clients. Vous comprenez que le respect des exigences d’accréditation des fournisseurs peut constituer une condition essentielle à votre emploi chez BD et à votre capacité à vous rendre dans certains locaux des clients. 
  • Poste à domicile impliquant des déplacements quotidiens chez des clients locaux ainsi que des déplacements régionaux avec nuitée. Le candidat idéal résidera à proximité d'un grand aéroport. Le poste exige des horaires de travail flexibles, y compris certains soirs et week-ends. 
  • Capacité à voyager entre 80 % et 100 % du temps, selon les besoins de l'entreprise. 
  • Doit conserver un permis de conduire valide, avoir un dossier de conducteur vierge depuis au moins 3 ans et respecter les normes de sécurité automobile de BD.

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates’ progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors that contribute to the range displayed. The range displayed iscomprisedof wages, which includes base salary and commission, as well as certain components of our bonus programs. The salary offered to a successful candidate may vary based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, and work location.

Salary Range Information: $60,000 - $110,000 CADAnnual
