Job Description

Role Summary

As a Marketing Specialist at BD, this role plays a key role in strengthening and accelerating growth across DS's core growth platforms. This role is responsibile for executing go-to-market strategies, managing strategic products and portfolios, and driving KOL engagement to translate scientific value into meaningful market adoption. The position works closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to deliver market initiatives and maximize commercial effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop short-term and long-term business and marketing strategies for BD Clinical Microbiology products.
  • Execute integrated business plans in collaboration with distributors.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify market opportunities.
  • Plan, adapt, and execute advertising, promotional, and digital/omnichannel marketing programs.
  • Product & Market Expertise Build strong expertise in BD Clinical Microbiology products.
  • Deliver product training and capability-building programs for partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support product positioning and value communication aligned with global and regional guidance.
  • Provide high-level solution architecture insights and design concepts to support sales opportunity development.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to drive opportunity progression.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and other business partners.
  • Coordinate commercial and operational processes with cross-functional stakeholders including SCM, Finance, Regulatory, and Public Affairs.
  • Regional & Global Collaboration Work closely with Regional and Global Marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment and drive optimized business outcomes.
  • Support localization and execution of regional/global initiatives and campaigns.

KOL & External Stakeholder Management

  • Build and manage strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Support advisory boards, expert meetings, and professional networks.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager or business director in alignment with business needs.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • Around 5 years of professional experience, preferably in diagnostics, clinical microbiology or healthcare marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and competitive insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work in a matrixed global environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare industries
  • Experience working with KOLs and scientific or clinical marketing activities
  • Knowledge of laboratory workflows and clinical microbiology operations.
  • Experience in portfolio management or market development roles
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong ownership and the ability to drive initiatives independently
