About the role
The Regional Marketing Leader, Surgery META is responsible for developing and driving the commercial marketing strategy across the Saudi, Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region. The role drives portfolio growth, market development, launch excellence, clinical adoption, content creation, market access alignment, and distributor marketing effectiveness across the Surgery portfolio.
As the strategic bridge between the Global Business Units and the META region, this leader ensures that global portfolio strategies, innovation priorities, and value propositions are effectively translated into actionable regional growth plans, while representing the voice of META to influence global decision-making. Act as the primary bridge between Global Marketing and META commercial teams, translating global strategies into regionally relevant initiatives while ensuring META market needs are represented in global decision-making.
Lead upstream marketing activities by identifying unmet customer needs, emerging clinical trends, market opportunities, and portfolio gaps across META.
Influence global innovation roadmaps, product development priorities, and launch strategies through voice-of-customer insights, market intelligence, and regional business cases.
Own the development, adaptation, governance, and deployment of commercial marketing content across META, including value propositions, sales enablement tools, campaigns, customer presentations, digital assets, and clinical communication materials.
Develop and articulate compelling, customer-centric value propositions tailored to target market segments, care pathways, customer needs, and country-specific market dynamics.
Drive successful launch execution for new products, line extensions, and therapy development priorities through robust commercialization, adoption, and readiness plans.

Partner with distributors and direct commercial teams to strengthen marketing capability, campaign execution, product adoption, funnel development, and customer engagement.
Lead market research, business analytics, segmentation, targeting, and performance assessments to support informed strategic decision-making and platform optimization.
Continuously monitor market dynamics, competitive activities, pricing trends, tender dynamics, and customer behaviors, developing effective counterstrategies to protect and expand market share.
Support market access, pricing, reimbursement, and tender-related strategies by developing value narratives, evidence-based positioning, and customer-ready materials in collaboration with relevant functional teams.
Partner with Medical Affairs and Professional Education to strengthen KOL engagement, clinical education, regional advocacy, and customer training initiatives.
Coordinate forecast assumptions, demand planning inputs, portfolio prioritization, and business review preparation with commercial and operational teams.
Effectively manage promotional investments and regional marketing budgets within approved limits while improving return on investment.
Represent BD at industry conferences, scientific congresses, customer events, and professional forums as required.
