Job Description

Relevant du directeur national des ventes, la personne retenue sera basée à Montréal ou dans les environs et sera responsable de stimuler la croissance et l’expansion du marché, tout en assurant la gestion des activités commerciales existantes pour le portefeuille d’intervention périphérique.

Le ou la gestionnaire de territoire bilingue sera responsable de soutenir les clients de la région de Montréal ainsi que de définir et de développer un pipeline d’occasions d’affaires alignées sur les objectifs de l’entreprise et ceux de nos clients. La personne sera également responsable du soutien lors des procédures cliniques ainsi que de la gestion des stocks en consignation sur son territoire.

La personne retenue fera preuve d’une solide expertise clinique et technique et veillera à maintenir ses connaissances à jour concernant les produits, les programmes et l’environnement concurrentiel.

De plus, le ou la gestionnaire de territoire bilingue établira et entretiendra des relations professionnelles solides au sein des comptes clés, notamment avec les principaux décideurs et influenceurs, y compris, sans s’y limiter, les chirurgiens vasculaires, les radiologues, les radiologues interventionnels, le personnel infirmier, les technologues, les responsables de la gestion du matériel et les gestionnaires hospitaliers.

Ce poste est un contrat à durée déterminée de 13 mois.

Responsabilités:

  • Atteindre les objectifs de vente grâce à une gestion efficace des activités commerciales existantes ainsi qu’au développement de nouvelles occasions de vente.
  • Développer un pipeline d’occasions d’affaires et élaborer un plan d’affaires pour le territoire.
  • Établir, maintenir et développer les comptes clés conformément au plan d’affaires, en assurant l’alignement avec les objectifs de l’organisation et ceux des clients.
  • Développer et maintenir un niveau d’excellence en matière de connaissances cliniques liées aux pathologies concernées ainsi que de connaissances techniques des produits du portefeuille.
  • Développer et maintenir un niveau d’excellence en matière de gestion de territoire, de gestion du pipeline et de techniques de vente.
  • Établir et maintenir des relations d’affaires stratégiques et durables au sein des comptes clés.
  • Effectuer des démonstrations de produits et offrir de la formation et des séances de perfectionnement aux clients, au besoin ou sur demande, afin d’assurer une utilisation efficace et optimale des produits Bard / BD.
  • Gérer le territoire avec intégrité et conformément au Code d’éthique de BD ainsi qu’à toutes les politiques, règles et procédures applicables.

Education et Expérience requises

  • Baccalauréat ou diplôme universitaire équivalent.
  • Deux années d’expérience dans l’industrie des dispositifs médicaux.
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit.

  • Faire preuve d’initiative et de persévérance, même face aux obstacles, et démontrer une réelle passion pour son travail.
  • Faire preuve de responsabilisation et d’un fort sentiment d’appropriation, et être en mesure d’élaborer des plans efficaces pour atteindre les objectifs.
  • Posséder des compétences éprouvées en résolution de problèmes et savoir utiliser une approche logique et méthodique afin de trouver des solutions efficaces à des problèmes complexes.
  • Posséder d’excellentes aptitudes en présentation dans divers contextes : rencontres individuelles, petits et grands groupes, présentations auprès de collègues et de membres de la haute direction.
  • Posséder un excellent sens des affaires ainsi que de solides capacités d’analyse, avec une compréhension démontrée de la façon dont les stratégies et les tactiques s’appliquent dans le marché.
  • Être en mesure de négocier efficacement dans des situations complexes avec des parties prenantes externes.
  • Posséder d’excellentes aptitudes en communication écrite et verbale, en influence et en négociation, permettant de communiquer efficacement de l’information complexe à divers auditoires et de favoriser les meilleurs résultats possibles.
  • Faire preuve d’un leadership collaboratif et d’excellentes aptitudes en facilitation, en favorisant le consensus tout en faisant progresser les initiatives d’affaires.

Exigences physiques et environnement de travail

  • Être en mesure de voyager environ 30 à 40 % du temps à l’intérieur du territoire assigné et dans le cadre d’activités professionnelles. Les exigences en matière de déplacements peuvent varier selon le lieu de résidence de la personne retenue. Les déplacements comprendront des nuitées et seront requis notamment pour le soutien aux clients, la couverture des procédures cliniques, la formation, les événements clients, les symposiums et d’autres activités sur le terrain.
  • Doit posséder et maintenir un permis de conduire valide et un dossier de conduite vierge depuis au moins 3 ans, ainsi que satisfaire aux normes de sécurité automobile de BD.
  • Dans l’exercice de ses fonctions, la personne doit régulièrement se tenir debout, marcher, s’asseoir, utiliser sa vision ainsi que ses mains pour manipuler ou utiliser des objets, des outils, des commandes et de l’équipement de bureau. Elle doit fréquemment communiquer verbalement avec d’autres employés. Elle doit occasionnellement étendre les bras et les mains, se pencher, s’agenouiller ou s’accroupir.

ENGLISH JD

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be based in Montreal or surrounding area and will be responsible for driving growth and market expansion while also managing the base business for the Peripheral Intervention portfolio. The Bilingual Territory Manager will be responsible for supporting customers in the Montreal area, defining, and developing a business pipeline of opportunities that align with the company’s objectives and to our customers’ goals. They are also responsible for supporting cases and managing consignment inventory within their territory. Individuals will exhibit strong clinical and technical expertise, stay current on product updates, programs, and competitive knowledge.  

Additionally, the Bilingual Territory Manager will build and maintain constructive relationships in key accounts with key decision makers and influencers including but not limited to Vascular Surgeons, Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists, nurses, technicians, materials management, and hospital management. 


This position is a 13 month contract.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieves sales targets through effective management of base business as well as new sales opportunities.
  • Develops a pipeline of opportunities and a business plan for the territory.
  • Establishes, maintains, and develops key accounts based on business plan aligned to both organizational and customer goals.
  • Develops and maintains a level of excellence in clinical knowledge within respective disease states and technical knowledge of the products in the portfolio.
  • Develops and maintains a level of excellence in territory management, pipeline management and selling skills.
  • Builds and maintains sustainable strategic business relationships in key accounts.
  • Performs product demonstrations, customer education and in-service as required or requested to ensure the efficient and effective use of Bard / BD products.
  • Manages the territory with integrity and in accordance with BD’s Code of Ethics and all applicable policies, rules, and procedures.

Education and Experience required:

  • Bachelors degree or BACC
  • Two years’ experience in the medical device industry.
  • Fluent in both English and French (read, write, speak).

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Takes initiative, perseveres even in the face of obstacles, and demonstrated passion for what they do. 
  • Takes accountability and ownership and can create effective plans to achieve targets. 
  • Proven problem-solving skills.  Uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Above average presentation skills in a variety of presentation settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups, with peers, and with senior leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and analysis skills with proven understanding of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
  • Can negotiate skillfully in a tough situation with external stakeholders.
  • Must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiating skills, allowing the effective communication of complex information to a wide variety of audiences, and leveraging for the best outcome.
  • Must be a collaborative facilitator and leader, building consensus while championing business initiatives.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to travel approximately 30-40% of the time within the assigned territory and for business-related activities, with travel requirements varying based on the successful candidate's location. Travel will include overnight stays and is required for customer support, case coverage, training, customer events, symposia, and other field-based activities.  
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years as well as meet BD’s auto safety standards. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
