Job Description

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage but not mandatory

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within agreed timelines.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Support account receivable and payable processes.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Assist with statutory filings, tax reporting, and other regulatory compliance activities.
• Monitor accounting transactions to ensure internal controls are followed.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and shared service teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and system enhancement projects as required.

Key Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, audit support, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO preferred).
• Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
